OBJECTIVES
 
The overall objective of GEFCA is to offer institutional support and community Based Development Services and local economic development to its clients in both private and public sectors and assist clients’ access finance by engaging in training in capacity building and knowledge by offering support advice and services.    GEFCA aims at seeing clients’ communities develop and services grow and such growth managed.  This it does by restructuring and reorganization and aiding them meet their legal obligations.

COMMUNITY IN  ABJECT POVERTY, VILLAGE YOUTH

Gen Rwot Family Care  Association (GEFCA) is a charity organization that defends, rehabilitates and empowers victims of violence, marginalization and exploitation, helps them make peace and live harmoniously through formation of socio-economic communtiy networks and teams.

 

We work to improve the general well-being of communities and promote peaceful co-existence of individuals, especially in marginalized communities. We have been victims of marginalization/social evils and led difficult lives (orphaned, displaced, bartered, cheated, fostered and poverty-stricken), but survived through hard child labor or otherwise.

 

 

GEFCA has qualified multi-disciplinary resource team of staffs with a wealth of professional experience mobilized to handle the assignments.  Her core competencies lie in the following management areas whose rural beneficiaries are in both the public and private sector environment.

  1. Adult-groups formation and development facilitation;

  2. Strategic planning, business proposal development and feasibility studies;

  3. Organizational or Business diagnostics;

  4. Association formation, management and development;

  5. Tailored Programs for NGO, CBO and MSME Business skills training and research;

  6. Program design, implementation, management and appraisal;

  7. Marketing skills acquired through dealing with clients and products of clients in a value added form;

SERVICES OFFERED

Gen Rwot Family Care Association (GEFCA) is a registered community base organization (CBO) with registration number LF/NGO/LR/1018, formed in 2001 by groups of families who are infected and affected by TB/HIV/AIDS in Lira district. The organization was formed with the sole aim to reduce the infection rates in the community and to provide care and support to the people with HIV/AIDS, PHAS, and Orphans or other venerable children (OVC), people with disability and war affected victims. This was to help most vulnerable

groups of people to acquire productive assets and become self reliance,V

​

dependable and confident communities, and to reduce the spread of TB/HIV/AIDS among the rural / urban communities of Lira district.

We offer innovative approaches to re-engineering or restructuring existing enterprises to respond to the ever-emerging market challenges. We develop in-house organizational structures, systems, and impart practical hands-on skills to staff within the client organization to help in future implementation of similar enterprise development programs.  Such programs may even be embedded in things like business services; business linkages for export market, extension systems, and marketing and or sales distribution systems.
